Question:

What causes the SIMULIA CST License error  "Flexnet Licensing Error -34,147"? How do I fix this issue?

Answer:

Below are the possible reasons for the SIMULIA CST License error " Flexnet Licensing Error - 34,147":

1.  The time difference between the CST Flexnet license server and the CST client is too large

or

2.  The time and/or date on these systems is incorrectly set.  

Mostly this happens after the machine’s force shutdown or unexpected crash, issues during the restart, resuming from hibernation etc. Also, there could be various possible reasons for time synchronization issues such as failures while machine boot-up, battery rundown, hardware failures etc. Below is the screenshot of this error message:

To fix this error, please verify that the time and date of the CST client system is correctly set. Adjust the time zone/clock settings accordingly. User may need to contact their IT team in this case.

For the CST Flexnet licensing, make sure that the time difference between the client and the license server systems is less than 24 hours.
