1. Request the Managed DSLS licensing option either at the time of software purchase through the sales representative or, through support@vias3d.com after software purchase

2. You will receive an email with the attached authentication file (<filename>.LIC)

3. The authentication file, which has a ".LIC" extension, proves your identity to access your company’s licenses

4. Copy the authentication file (.LIC) to every computer you wish to run DS Solutions

5. Place it in C:\ProgramData\DassaultSystemes\Licenses\<FILENAME>.LIC  (Create this folder if it does not exist.)

6. Create DSLicSrv.txt File (C:\ProgramData\DassaultSystemes\Licenses\)

Note: Managed DSLS service is handled by Dassault Systemes directly so it has access to all license use data. The license request and checkout is a two way connection, but it is always initiated by the client. The license server will not call out to the client. The client must initiate the connection. The following information will be available on the MDSLS report(personal data like user, hostname and IP address are hashed out):

• License name

• Tenant ID

• Number of licenses + license type (token or credit)

• Hostname

• Username

• IP address

• Executable path

• Pricing model (YLC or ALC)
